The Kelly Élan in Vert Comic Chèvre with gold hardware is one of the most playful and architecturally distinctive Kelly variations Hermès has produced in recent years. The Kelly Élan ('soaring' or 'spirited') is a recent reinterpretation of the Kelly silhouette — longer and slimmer than the classic Kelly, with a distinct, elongated proportion that reads as both contemporary and slightly equestrian. It descends from the Kelly Dépêches and Plume traditions but stakes its own visual territory: a flat, elongated body that wears closely against the side and reads quite differently from the canonical Kelly squared geometry. Vert Comic — 'comic green' — is one of Hermès's wittiest recent colour additions: a high-saturation, almost neon green-yellow named in nod to mid-century comic book printing palettes. On Chèvre Mysore goatskin, the colour reads at its absolute fullest strength, with the leather's crystalline grain refracting the green across the surface. It is a colour that requires confidence and rewards it: a piece designed to function as a single statement element in an otherwise restrained wardrobe.
