A Mini Bolide in Gris Neve matte alligator with gold hardware — a piece that asks very little of its wearer while offering a great deal in return. Compact, self-contained, and entirely resolved in its proportions, it arrives having never been used. Year K stamp, brand new condition. First introduced in 1923, the Bolide holds a particular place in the Hermès canon as the house's first bag with a zip closure — a solution so straightforward it has never needed revision. The Mini scale is the most intimate expression of that form: a bag carried to dinner, to a gallery opening, to any occasion where the choice has already been made before one leaves the house. It is not a bag that accommodates everything; it is one that requires the discipline of choosing only what matters. Gris Neve sits in the cooler register of grey — closer to the blue-white of fresh snow at dusk than to ash or cement. On matte alligator, the tone behaves with particular restraint: the suppressed surface finish absorbs light rather than reflecting it, so the colour reads as depth rather than brightness. Each tile of scale shifts the shade incrementally, giving the exterior a quiet, almost mineral complexity that polished exotic leathers do not possess.
