Hermès's 2026 colour direction is the most ambitious the maison has released since the early 2010s. After half a decade of restrained, mineral-toned neutrals, the palette has swung firmly back toward saturation: jewel-tone reds, atmospheric pastels, an entire family of new greens. Below, JULL's guide to the most important colours of the year — what they are, what leathers amplify them, and which pieces in our current inventory carry them.
Rouge Radieux
Rouge Radieux — "radiant red" — is the standout colour of the 2026 collection. It sits between the orange-warm Rouge Vif and the deep historic Rouge H, occupying a clear, saturated, confidently modern register that has no exact predecessor in the Hermès archive. It reads as joyful without being costume, serious without being austere.
The colour reaches peak intensity on Epsom calfskin. The printed embossed surface of Epsom holds saturated tones at full strength, lending Rouge Radieux a near-lacquered quality. On Chèvre Mysore goatskin, the colour gains an additional layer of luminosity from the leather's crystalline grain. JULL currently stocks a Mini Kelly in Rouge Radieux Epsom with palladium hardware, Year K (2026), brand new — one of the most over-allocated configurations in the maison's current calendar.
Vert d'Eau
Vert d'Eau — "water green" — is among the most poetic colours in the current palette. It is a luminous, almost translucent pale aquatic green that reads as both restful and architectural, evoking shallow Mediterranean water in early summer light. On matte alligator, it gains stone-like depth; on Doblis suede, it reads as velvety calm.
JULL stocks a Kelly Pochette in Vert d'Eau matte alligator with gold hardware, Year W, store-fresh — one of the most quietly atmospheric exotic Kelly Pochettes in current production.
Vert Yucca, Vert Criquet, Bambou
The 2026 green family extends beyond Vert d'Eau into three further registers. Vert Yucca is a bright tropical-tinged grass green; Vert Criquet is a slightly chartreuse-tinted grasshopper green; Bambou is the saturated bamboo-leaf green that bridges classical and contemporary palettes. All three pair particularly well with Togo's pebbled grain for casual carry or Chèvre for evening register.
Current inventory in the green family includes a Birkin 25 in Vert Criquet Epsom with gold hardware, a Birkin 25 in Vert Yucca Togo with palladium, and a Kelly 25 in Bambou Chèvre with gold — each occupying a different position in the green spectrum.
Mauve Sylvestre
Mauve Sylvestre — "forest mauve" — is the most considered colour of the 2026 release. A soft smoke-tinged dusty purple-grey with undertones of pale violet and dove, it reads as quietly atmospheric rather than declarative. It is a colour for the collector who has already explored the canonical neutrals and now seeks something cooler and more contemplative.
On Epsom calfskin, Mauve Sylvestre holds its tone with ceramic clarity. JULL currently stocks a Kelly 25 in Mauve Sylvestre Epsom with palladium hardware and a Kelly Cut in Mauve Sylvestre Epsom with gold — two ways of carrying the same atmospheric colour into different contexts.
Bleu Zellige
Bleu Zellige — named for the geometric Moroccan ceramic tilework of the Maghreb — is a saturated mid-toned blue with hints of teal and Mediterranean depth. It sits between the pale Bleu Céleste and the deep saturated Blue Royal. The colour gains additional structural depth on Epsom. Currently in stock: a Mini Kelly in Bleu Zellige Epsom with palladium hardware, Year G, store-fresh.
Rose Confetti and Rose Azalée
The pink family in 2026 has bifurcated. Rose Confetti is the joyful bubblegum pink — clear, sweet, with a hint of coral warmth. Rose Azalée is the more romantic warm-coral leaning rose, evoking late-spring azalea blooms. Both colours photograph beautifully and pair equally well with palladium (modern, cool) or gold (warm, classical) hardware. JULL stocks Mini Kellys in both colours on Epsom and Chèvre.
Terre Cuite
Terre Cuite — "cooked earth" — is the warm terracotta-orange that has become one of the most beloved warm colours in the current Hermès exotic palette. It evokes patinated Mediterranean rooftops and unglazed clay. On ostrich, the colour gains particular dimensional depth as each follicle takes the dye independently. JULL stocks two Birkin 30s in Terre Cuite ostrich with gold hardware, both in excellent preloved condition.
The JULL Take
The 2026 palette rewards collectors who already own the canonical neutrals. If you have Etoupe, Black, Gold, and Gris Tourterelle already in your collection, this is the season to add a saturated piece — Rouge Radieux, Vert d'Eau, Mauve Sylvestre, or Bleu Zellige. For collectors building a first or second Hermès piece, the canonical neutrals remain the most flexible foundation; the saturated 2026 colours are the second or third acquisition.
