The Friday Room
Hermès below boutique retail. 16 pieces. Fridays only.
Every Friday, 9:00–23:00 London time, the Room opens: a private selection of new, unworn and pre-owned Hermès, each piece priced below the boutique — this week up to 47% below. What is inside stays veiled until the door opens.
Hermès below boutique retail — how it actually works
Ask most people what a Hermès bag costs on the secondary market and they will tell you it costs more — sometimes double. That is true of exactly three families: Birkin, Kelly and Constance, the quota bags the boutique rations. Everything else Hermès makes — and a surprising number of colours and sizes within those three families — trades at or below the boutique price once it leaves the shop floor. The Friday Room exists for those pieces.
The mechanics are simple. A boutique price is set in Paris and applied worldwide; the secondary market price is set by demand. When a piece is plentiful, unfashionable this season, or simply overlooked — a Bolide in an office colour, an Evelyne in a size the influencers skipped, a scarf from two winters ago — its market price settles under retail. The bag is no less authentic and no less well made. It is simply not the bag everyone is queueing for this month.
Every percentage you see in the Room compares our price against the current Hermès boutique price for that model in the UK — the price you would pay on Bond Street today, if the boutique offered you one. It is not a markdown of our own earlier price, and we never use the word sale, because nothing here is distressed stock: every piece was authenticated in our London workroom, most arrive new or unworn, and each carries its blind stamp on the invoice.
Why Fridays? Because a standing selection loses its pull. A room that opens for fourteen hours a week gives the selection a rhythm: members of our WhatsApp list see the line-up on Thursday evening, the door opens at nine on Friday morning London time, and it closes at eleven that night. What does not find a home returns behind the veil — sometimes to reappear the following week, sometimes not, because these pieces also sell quietly to viewing clients during the week.
For buyers outside London, everything in the Room ships fully insured — next-day within the UK, tracked worldwide — and any piece can be held with a deposit while you decide. For buyers in London, we would rather you came to London: a below-retail Hermès deserves the same private viewing as a Birkin at a premium.
If you are researching the wider market, our guides to Hermès prices in 2026 and the leathers that hold their value are the right place to start — and the full collection is open every day of the week.
Questions, answered
What is The Friday Room?
A private selection of authentic Hermès pieces — new, unworn and pre-owned — each priced below the current Hermès boutique price. The selection stays veiled all week and reveals every Friday from 9:00 to 23:00 London time.
Are the pieces authentic?
Every piece is authenticated by hand in our London workroom before it enters the Room — leather, stitching, hardware and blind stamp are checked against the model and year, and the blind stamp is recorded on the invoice.
How can Hermès cost less than the boutique?
The waitlist premium applies mainly to quota bags — Birkin, Kelly and Constance. Many other Hermès models, colours and sizes trade on the secondary market at or below the boutique price because supply there is not rationed. We source directly through our European network, which is how even brand-new pieces can sit below retail.
What does the percentage on each piece mean?
It is the gap between our price and the current Hermès boutique price (RRP) for that model in the UK — a factual comparison against the boutique, not a markdown of our own earlier price.
How do I see the selection before Friday?
Members of our WhatsApp list receive the full selection on Thursday evening — the only way to see inside the Room before it opens.
Can I buy outside the Friday window?
Every piece is genuinely in stock and can be reserved any day via WhatsApp or a private viewing in London. Friday is simply when the full pricing is published in one place.
