A Kelly 25 in Etoupe Swift with palladium hardware — one of the most considered configurations the house produces. Compact without severity, structured without weight, it is a bag that rewards daily use and formal occasions with equal composure. Year U stamp, unworn condition. Within the Kelly lineage, the 25 is the iteration that prioritises precision. It holds what a day genuinely requires — a telephone, a card case, keys, something small to read — and does so without architectural compromise. The silhouette dates to Grace Kelly's own carrying of an earlier version in 1956, though the proportions at 25 centimetres represent a later refinement that has become the collector's preferred scale: present enough to read across a room, restrained enough to travel without effort. Etoupe sits in the grey-brown register — warmer than a true grey, cooler than a taupe, with a quality that shifts perceptibly in different light. Hermès have described it as the colour of elephant skin, and in Swift that description earns its keep: the leather's fine, tight grain and polished surface allow Etoupe's undertones to move between slate and stone depending on whether the light is natural or artificial. Against palladium hardware, the warmth in the leather is drawn forward while the overall effect remains disciplined.
