Hermès sandals: Oran, Chypre and the rest, sourced to order

Hermès makes a small family of sandals and slides, and most of the questions we get are about telling them apart. The Oran is the flat H-cut slide everyone recognises. The Chypre is its sportier cousin with a Velcro strap and a rubber sole. The Izmir is the men’s version of the Oran. The Oasis is the Oran with a low heel.

All of them sell out in the London boutiques in the popular colours and sizes every summer, and none of them can be ordered online for delivery in the UK once they are gone. That is where we come in: we source current-season pairs new, with the boutique receipt copy and box, and price them 20% below the UK boutique price. The pages below give the price, the colours and the sizing for each model, and a button that starts the order.

How it works

  1. Tell us the model, colour and size — or send a screenshot from hermes.com.
  2. We confirm the same day: availability, the boutique price on the day, and our price at 20% below it.
  3. Bank transfer, in full, once confirmed — not before.
  4. Seven to ten days: insured delivery charged at cost and quoted with the piece, or free collection at Chelsea Harbour — new, with the receipt copy and box.

Questions

Which Hermès sandal is the classic one?

The Oran. It was introduced in 1997, it is the flat leather slide with the cut-out H across the foot, and it is the one people mean when they say “Hermès sandals” without a name.

What is the difference between Oran and Chypre?

The Oran is a dress slide: smooth leather, thin leather sole, no strap. The Chypre is built for walking: a wide leather H strap that fastens with Velcro, a padded footbed and a rubber sole. The Chypre runs about £150 more at the boutique and is the one to choose if you will walk more than a few streets in them.

Are there Hermès sandals for men?

Yes. The Izmir is the men’s Oran, and the Chypre is made in men’s sizes too. We source both.

Do Hermès sandals run true to size?

Oran runs slightly narrow and true to length; if you are between sizes, go up. Chypre is more forgiving because the strap adjusts. Send us the size you take in a brand you know and we will confirm what to order before anything is paid.

Can you get a colour that has sold out in London?

Usually, yes — we source across boutiques, not just the London ones, and colours that are gone in one are often available in another. Tell us the colour and size and we will confirm availability the same day.

How is the price 20% below the boutique?

That is the figure we set for current-season pieces sourced to order. It applies to every piece on these pages; the boutique price shown is checked against hermes.com on the date noted on each page.
