JULL is a small London business. We collect what we need to answer an enquiry, reserve or deliver a piece and keep the site working — and nothing we cannot explain on this page.
Who we are
This site is run by BY JULL LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 17144844) with its registered office at 255–261 Horn Lane, London W3 9EH. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Questions about your data go to hello@byjull.com.
What we collect, and why
When you enquire
Whether you write through the site, by email or on WhatsApp, we keep your name, the contact details you give us and what you are looking for — model, leather, colour, budget, timing. We use it to reply, to source the piece and to let you know when something matching arrives. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering the people who contact us.
When you reserve or buy
To issue an invoice and deliver a piece we need your name, billing and delivery address, email and phone number, plus the payment reference. Card and Apple Pay deposits are taken by our payment processor on its own secure page; we never see or store your full card number. Legal basis: performing our contract with you, and our legal duty to keep sales and tax records.
When you sell or consign a piece to us
Provenance matters, so before we take in a piece we may ask for proof of identity and of purchase and keep a copy with the piece's file. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in preventing the sale of stolen or counterfeit goods, and our legal obligations as a dealer.
When you simply visit
The site keeps its own count of page views — the page, the page you came from and your browser type — so we know which guides and galleries are read. This is recorded by us, not by a third-party analytics service, and it sets no cookie. For the length of one visit your browser also remembers where you arrived from, so that a WhatsApp click three pages later is still credited to the right source; that note is cleared when the tab closes.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with the people and services that help us serve you: our payment processor and bank; couriers and insurers for delivery; the providers that host the site, our database and our email; our accountants; and, where the law requires it, the police, courts or regulators. Advertising platforms receive data only through the cookies described below, and only if you have accepted them. We do not sell personal data to anyone.
Some of these providers process data outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations or by contractual safeguards approved for international transfers.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and correspondence: up to 24 months after our last exchange.
- Invoices, sales and purchase records: six years after the end of the tax year, as HMRC requires.
- Provenance and identity records for pieces we buy or consign: the same six years.
- Page-view logs: reviewed and pruned at least once a year; nothing in them identifies you by name.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict or stop using it, receive it in a portable form, and withdraw any consent you have given. Write to hello@byjull.comand we will answer within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file your browser keeps so a site can recognise it on the next page or the next visit. We set the essential ones ourselves. Advertising cookies belong to Google and Microsoft, and they are set only after you choose Accept all on the cookie card.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
jull_consent | JULL | Remembers the choice you made on the cookie card. | 6 months |
| Staff sign-in | JULL | Keeps our own team signed in to the stock admin. Never set for visitors. | Session |
_gcl_au and related | Google Ads | Measures whether a visit that started from one of our Google adverts led to an enquiry or reservation. Off until you accept. | Up to 90 days |
_uetsid, _uetvid | Microsoft Advertising | The same measurement for adverts shown on Bing. Not loaded until you accept. | 1 day / 13 months |
Until you accept, Google's tag runs in consent mode with advertising storage denied: no advertising cookie is written and no advert is personalised to you. Choosing Essential only keeps it that way.
You can change your mind at any time — — or clear cookies for byjull.com in your browser. Your choice applies to this browser on this device.

The site and our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.
