Consign your Hermès with JULL.

The bag stays yours until it sells. We agree the exact sum you will receive, put it in writing, and then do the work: authentication, photography, the Chelsea Harbour showroom, byjull.com, the buyers who already ask us for that model. When it sells, you are paid within seven working days.

For the same bag, the consignment figure is always higher than our outright offer. If you would rather be paid today, we will quote both and tell you which we would choose.

01 — The figure

One number, agreed before the bag goes on sale.

We do not work in percentages. After inspecting the bag we tell you the exact amount you will receive when it sells, in pounds, and that figure goes into the consignment agreement you sign. The listing price, any later change to it, the negotiation with the buyer, the delivery: all of that is ours to manage, and none of it moves your number. We cannot sell for a sum that would reduce your payout without your written consent.

Because you are not paying us a fee, there is nothing to deduct later and nothing to argue about on the day of the sale. The statement you receive shows the sale, the date and the transfer to your account.

02 — Why it pays more

Consignment or an outright sale: what actually changes.

When a dealer buys a bag outright, they pay today and then hold it, sometimes for months, until the right buyer appears. The offer has to leave room for that cost, and for the chance of being wrong about the price. On consignment the bag stays in your name, we hold no stock, and the room we would otherwise need goes to you. That is the whole difference, and it is why the consignment figure for the same bag is always higher than the outright one.

03 — Why with JULL

Your bag, in a place you can walk into.

Anyone handing over a bag worth more than a car has three questions: will I actually get the money, is the bag safe while it is away from me, and will it sell at a proper price. This is how we answer each one, in the order sellers ask them.

03b — Against a consignment boutique

Where the usual consignment deal leaves you, and where ours does.

Most consignment in London runs on a percentage. It sounds simple, and it is, for the boutique. For the seller it means the real figure is only known at the end, after a discount you did not choose and a cut you cannot see. We built our terms as the answer to that.

04 — How it works

Five steps, start to payout.

  1. Send photographs on WhatsApp

Front, back, base, interior, the blind stamp and the hardware. We reply with an indicative figure and, if you like it, book a time at the showroom or arrange an insured courier.

  2. Hand the bag over and sign the receipt

We photograph the bag, note its condition and give you a drop-off receipt to sign on your phone. The bag is now in our custody and under our risk.

  3. Receive your payout figure within two working days

After inspection by hand we confirm the exact sum you will receive. If you accept, you sign the consignment agreement; if not, the bag goes back to you at no cost.

  4. We sell it

Photography, the showroom floor, byjull.com, Google Shopping, the AI feeds and our client list. The listing runs for 60 days. You can ask how it is going at any time.

  5. You are paid

Within seven working days of the buyer’s cleared funds, by transfer to your account, with a statement. If the bag has not sold by the end of the period, you collect it from the showroom within seven days, or we return it by insured courier at cost.

05 — What we take

Hermès first. Chanel by arrangement.

Birkin, Kelly, Mini Kelly, Constance, Lindy, Picotin, Evelyne, Bolide, Kelly To Go and the rest of the house, in leather and in exotic skins, from unworn to honestly worn. Special orders and horseshoe-stamped pieces are welcome. We also consign Hermès jewellery, belts, shoes and scarves when the piece is right, and selected Chanel classics. Bring the box, dust bag and receipt if you have them; the bag alone is accepted.

What we do not take: pieces we cannot authenticate to our standard, heavily restored bags, and anything whose provenance we are not comfortable with. We will say so plainly rather than list something we do not believe in.

06 — Questions

Consigning with JULL: your questions.

What is consignment, in plain terms?

You leave the bag with us; we authenticate it, photograph it, list it in the showroom and online, find the buyer and handle payment and delivery. When it sells, you receive the payout we agreed in writing before it went on sale. If it does not sell within the period, it comes back to you.

How much will I get?

We quote a single figure: the exact amount you receive when the bag sells. We put that figure in the agreement before listing and it does not change, whatever price the bag finally achieves. For the same bag it is always higher than our outright purchase offer.

Why is the consignment payout higher than an outright offer?

When we buy a bag outright we pay today and carry the cost of holding it until it sells, so the offer has to leave room for that. On consignment the bag stays yours until the sale, we hold no stock, and the room we would otherwise need goes to you instead.

How long does it take to sell?

The consignment period is 60 days. Classic Birkin, Kelly and Mini Kelly in good colours often go within the first weeks; rarer pieces can take the full period. We list on byjull.com, in the Chelsea Harbour showroom, on Google Shopping and in the feeds the AI assistants read, and we offer new arrivals directly to clients who have asked for that model.

Is my bag safe with you?

Yes. BY JULL LTD is a registered UK company with a showroom at Chelsea Harbour. Every piece is photographed and condition-reported at intake, you sign a drop-off receipt on the spot, and while the bag is in our custody JULL carries the risk of loss, theft or damage up to your agreed payout. Payment goes only to a UK bank account in your own name, never in cash.

What if I change my mind?

Before authentication begins you can take the bag back at any time, free of charge. Once we have authenticated and listed it, a withdrawal carries the administrative fee set out in the agreement, because the work has been done. If the bag is reserved by a buyer it cannot be withdrawn until that reservation lapses.

What happens if the bag fails authentication?

We end the agreement and return the bag. An administrative fee of £250 (£400 for Birkin, Kelly and exotic leathers) covers the authentication, handling and storage, and is payable before the bag is returned. Pieces that fail authentication are never listed or sold.

Do I need the box, dust bag and receipt?

No. They help the sale and lift the price, so bring what you have, but a bag on its own is accepted. We will tell you honestly whether the missing pieces affect the payout we can offer.

Can I consign from outside London?

Yes. Clients send bags to us by insured courier after agreeing the figure on WhatsApp from photographs; we confirm the payout once the bag has been inspected by hand, and the same agreement, receipt and insurance apply.

How is this different from a consignment boutique that charges a percentage?

With a percentage you learn your real figure only on the day of the sale, after the boutique has decided the discount and taken its cut. With JULL you know the figure on the day you sign, and it does not move. We can lower the listing price to close a sale, but never below the point where your payout is affected, unless you agree in writing.

Can I see where my bag is?

Yes. The showroom at Harbour Yard, Chelsea Harbour, is open seven days, 10 to 18. Your bag is on the floor or in secure storage there, and you are welcome to visit it. You can also ask for an update on viewings and interest at any time on WhatsApp.

Who will I be dealing with?

The founder, Guilherme Ribeiro, and a small team. The same people inspect the bag, agree the figure with you, sell it and pay you; there is no call centre and no handover between departments.

Tell us what you have. We will tell you the figure.

WhatsApp +44 7704 870249 is answered by the founder and his team. Send the photographs and we will come back with a consignment figure and an outright offer side by side, so you can choose. Or email hello@byjull.com, or come to Chelsea Harbour with the bag.

Consignment is governed by the BY JULL LTD Consignment Agreement you sign before listing, which sets out the agreed payout, the 60-day period, authentication, withdrawal, insurance in our custody and payment. The figures we quote are for the specific bag inspected and are not an offer for any other piece. Selling outright is described on Sell your Hermès; how the two routes compare across the market is in our guide How to sell your Hermès bag in London and the UK. JULL is an independent dealer and is not affiliated with Hermès.
