Hermès scarves: Carré 90, Twilly and shawls, sourced to order

The silk carré is where Hermès began as a fashion house — 1937, a 90 cm square of twill printed in Lyon — and it is still the piece more people own than any other. Around it sit the Twilly, the narrow ribbon that goes on a bag handle or a wrist, and the cashmere-silk shawl 140 for winter.

The designs change every season and the good colourways sell through fast; the London boutiques carry a fraction of what the house prints. We source scarves new, in the design and colourway you name, with the boutique receipt copy and box, at 20% below the UK boutique price. The pages below give the current price, the formats and the designs in the boutiques now.

How it works

  1. Tell us the model, colour and size — or send a screenshot from hermes.com.
  2. We confirm the same day: availability, the boutique price on the day, and our price at 20% below it.
  3. Bank transfer, in full, once confirmed — not before.
  4. Seven to ten days: insured delivery charged at cost and quoted with the piece, or free collection at Chelsea Harbour — new, with the receipt copy and box.

Questions

What sizes do Hermès scarves come in?

The Carré 90 (90 × 90 cm) is the classic. Below it the Carré 70 and the pocket square 45; above it the Carré 140 and the cashmere-silk shawl 140. The Twilly is a 5 × 86 cm ribbon; the Maxi-Twilly is longer and wider. The Carré 90 and the Twilly are the two we are asked for most.

Do you have every design?

We source whatever the house is currently printing. Each season has thirty to forty designs in the Carré 90, each in several colourways, and the boutiques carry only some of them. Name the design and the colourway, or send a photo, and we confirm the same day whether it can be found.

Is a Twilly worth it?

For the price it is the most useful thing Hermès makes: it protects a bag handle from hand oils, it ties as a neck scarf, a headband or a bracelet, and it is the usual first piece. Two on a Birkin or a Kelly is the classic look.

Can you source a scarf that has sold out in London?

Often. Colourways that are finished in London are frequently still in stock elsewhere, and we source across boutiques. If a design is sold out everywhere, we say so.

How is the price 20% below the boutique?

That is the figure we set for current-season pieces sourced to order; the boutique price shown is checked against hermes.com/uk on the date noted on each page.
