A peça em detalhe

A Kelly 28 in noir shiny Niloticus crocodile with gold hardware — one of the most formally resolved configurations the house produces. Unworn condition. Within Hermès, the Kelly occupies a precise position: structured where the Birkin yields, singular in handle where the Birkin offers two. The 28 is the size that balances the silhouette's architectural geometry against daily practicality — large enough to work, disciplined enough never to sprawl. It is reached for when the occasion has a shape to it, when the clothes are considered and the setting is not incidental. Those who choose it over its larger sibling tend to prefer restraint. Noir on shiny Niloticus is as close to an absolute as this material allows. The lacquered surface of Niloticus — its scales set in the tight, regular pattern that distinguishes true Nile crocodile from its relatives — catches and releases light with every movement, so that what reads as black at rest becomes something closer to deep ink or jet depending on the angle. It is not a colour that has a story so much as a condition: total, unqualified, without warmth or coolness pulling it in either direction. The gold hardware anchors the exterior with a warmth that keeps the piece from severity. This example was inspected by hand in our London workroom and verified with Entrupy. JULL holds it available for private viewing by appointment at our Chelsea Harbour showroom.
