Commissioned as a Horseshoe Stamp special order, this Hermès Mini Kelly pairs a Noir Epsom exterior with a Blue Indigo interior — the kind of quiet, deliberate contrast only an HSS commission allows. The horseshoe beside the blind stamp confirms it: this configuration was chosen at order, never offered from a shelf. The Mini Kelly II measures twenty centimetres across and is worn by hand, in the crook of the arm, or long on its adjustable shoulder strap. Epsom is the leather that suits the format best. Its embossed grain holds the sellier lines crisp, refuses to slouch, and keeps the trapeze silhouette exactly as the atelier intended, year after year. Palladium hardware — the turn lock, the clochette, the padlock and keys — reads cool and understated against the black, and lets the indigo lining do the talking each time the flap opens. Noir is the most requested colour in the Hermès repertoire and the hardest of all to secure in the Mini format. Add a special order interior and the waiting list becomes theoretical rather than practical. Pieces configured like this rarely reach the secondary market at all; when they do, they tend to move privately, between people who already know what they are looking at. This example carries blind stamp G and arrives complete with its original receipt, box, dust bag, rain cover, clochette, padlock and keys. It has been examined in hand and fully authenticated by our specialists in London. Condition is store fresh throughout: corners sharp, hardware unmarked, protective film intact where fitted.
