A Kelly 20 in shiny alligator and Miel, finished with palladium hardware — a combination that sits at the quieter, more considered end of exotic Kelly production. G stamp, 2026, unworn. At twenty centimetres, this is the smallest structured Kelly Hermès makes, and its proportions have made it a permanent fixture rather than a moment. It is the format collectors reach for when they want the house's most legible silhouette in a form that moves with the wearer rather than demanding to be carried. It works equally as an evening piece or as the bag one takes when everything else would be too much. Miel is honey — not golden, not amber, but the particular warm brown-yellow of raw honeycomb, slightly deeper at the edges of each alligator tile and brighter where the scales catch light. On shiny alligator the colour reads differently at different hours: almost burnished at midday, closer to cognac under candlelight. The gloss of the leather is its own argument; very little else in the house's range moves the way polished alligator does. The palladium hardware keeps the whole composition cool and precise, balancing the warmth of Miel without competing with it.
