The Picotin began in 2002 as a feed bag: an open bucket in soft leather with two rolled handles and nothing to fasten, named after the picotin, the measure of oats given to a horse. The Lock version added the Cadena padlock on a leather tab, and it is the one almost everyone buys. This is the 18 — the size that takes a phone, a wallet, keys and sunglasses and still sits on the forearm — in Rouge Sellier, the deep saddle red that carries the name of the house's own saddlery, on Taurillon Clemence with gold hardware. Clemence is the softer, heavier grain; it relaxes a little with use, which on a Picotin is the point. New and unworn, stamp G, with the Cadena lock, two keys, the clochette, dust bag and box. Roughly 18 × 13 × 13 cm; the interior is unlined, as the model always is. Available to view at our Chelsea Harbour showroom or delivered insured.
