The Hermès Mini Kelly is the most allocated bag in the house's current collection: a twenty-centimetre Kelly with a removable shoulder strap, the full Sellier construction scaled down to a size that carries the essentials from morning to evening. In Rose Lipstick chèvre it becomes one of the most joyful versions of the model. Rose Lipstick is a vivid, slightly cool pink, the colour of a classic lipstick shade rather than a pastel. It is bold enough to be the focal point of an outfit yet small enough on a Mini Kelly to read as an accent, and it works as naturally with white and denim in summer as it does with grey, camel and navy in winter. Few Hermès pinks have been as consistently sought after since their introduction. The leather is chèvre Mysore, Hermès' goatskin. It has a fine, tight grain with a gentle sheen that makes saturated colours glow, and it is one of the lightest and most resilient leathers the house uses, resisting scratches and holding the Kelly's crisp lines over years of wear. The hardware is palladium-plated: turn-lock, clochette and strap fittings in a cool silver that keeps the pink fresh and modern. Ours carries a blind stamp D and is offered in like-new condition, carried with care and showing no visible wear to the corners, handle or hardware. A Mini Kelly in a strong pink chèvre is a rare find on the secondary market, and examples in this condition are seldom available for long.
