How do you pay for a Hermès bag in the UK? At JULL there are two ways. For a bag of £1,000 or more, you pay by bank transfer to our UK business account in the name of BY JULL LTD, after pressing Buy now on the bag's page; the account details and your reference appear on screen and by email, and the bag is held for you for 12 hours while the transfer arrives. For pieces under £1,000, and for deposits, you can pay by card or Apple Pay on the site. Either way you can reserve first with a 25% deposit and see the bag before you pay the balance.
Paying in full
First. Press Buy now on the product page.
Then. Enter your name and email. The next screen shows the amount, the account name, BY JULL LTD, the bank, and your unique reference.
Next. Send the amount from your banking app by Faster Payments, quoting the reference. It usually arrives in seconds.
Finally. We confirm by email within the hour during opening hours, and arrange collection or free, insured UK delivery.
The bag is yours when the funds have cleared. Nothing is charged until you make the transfer.
Reserving with a deposit
A deposit of 25% of the price takes the bag off sale for up to five days, so you can see it, have it checked, or arrange the funds. The first £3,000 of the deposit can be paid by card or Apple Pay on the product page; any remainder of the 25% follows by bank transfer within 24 hours. The deposit counts in full against the price. It is not refundable if you change your mind, because holding a bag means turning other buyers away; it is refunded in full if we cannot complete the sale, or if the bag is shown not to be authentic. The detail is in Hermès deposits explained.
Why a bank transfer for a bag above £1,000
Bank transfer is how most specialists and auction houses take payment for a bag of this value. It is fast, it has no card fees built into the price, and the money goes to an account in the company's name, which you can check against Companies House: BY JULL LTD, company number 17144844.
What we do not accept
Cash, cryptocurrency, or payment from anyone other than the buyer named on the invoice.
Before you send money anywhere
Check that the account is in the name of the company you are buying from, not a person. Check the company exists. Ask to see the bag in person or on a live video call. A real dealer will welcome all three. Our guides to whether JULL is legitimate and whether it is safe to buy Hermès online set out the checks.
