Each Oran leaves the maison's atelier with subtle individual character: micro-variations in the depth of Gold colour saturation, the precise carriage of the H-cutout strap, the alignment of the printed Epsom grain. This particular pair shows particularly even Gold colour and a high-finish strap. The Oran — introduced in 1997 — is the maison's classic slip-on flat sandal with the iconic H-cutout strap across the foot. It has become one of the most universally recognised pieces of luxury footwear in the world: a piece that reads as Hermès identity at a single glance. Gold, the historic warm Birkin honey-tan, develops a beautiful amber patina over years of wear and pairs particularly naturally with the warm summer-light context the Oran was designed for.
