Leather decides how it ages more than the model does. Epsom keeps its shape and its colour and is the sensible choice for something that lives in a pocket; Chèvre is light and hard-wearing; Swift takes colour beautifully and marks. Edge paint is the first thing to fail on any of them, and it is the first thing we photograph.
