The piece in detail
The Bouncing is the Hermès trainer that took over the men’s floor: a knit upper with the oversized “H en biais” running diagonally across it, suede goatskin at the toe, heel and eyelets, and a light ridged sole that carries the H again underneath. This pair is Vert Véronèse — the house’s deep military green — worked tone on tone from laces to sole, which is the quietest way to wear the model and the one that sells through first. Size 42.5, new and unworn, with the Hermès box, dust bags and the second pair of laces the boutique supplies. Made in Italy; sole height 4 cm. The Bouncing fits true to size — the boutique’s own advice is to take your usual size, and we agree. Priced below the current UK boutique price of £790.
