The Constance arrived in 1969, designed by Catherine Chaillet and named for her daughter, and its oversized H clasp became the most quietly assertive monogram in fashion. The Constance To Go distils that legend into a wallet-on-strap: a slim organiser behind the famous buckle, worn across the body and carried everywhere the full bag cannot go. For many collectors it has become the piece that leaves the safe most often. This example wears Gris Patine, a soft, weathered grey with the faded elegance of Paris stone after rain — a newer entry in the house's celebrated grey family. Epsom leather suits it exactly: the fine pressed grain keeps the H sharp-edged and the slim profile disciplined, while shrugging off the wear a daily companion collects. Palladium hardware doubles down on the cool tonality — grey on grey on polished white metal, quiet to the point of confidence. It is the accessory equivalent of good tailoring: nothing announces itself, everything registers. Inside, it organises cards, notes and a folded phone-life at passport thickness. The Constance family is famously the hardest of the house's classics to be offered — production is small because each clasp is finished by hand — and the To Go inherits both the scarcity and the following. Grey examples surface least often of all, sitting as they do at the top of the neutral request lists. When one appears store fresh, it seldom needs a second week. Ours is store fresh with the blind stamp W, unmarked and unworn throughout. It has been authenticated in-house by our specialists. We invite you to view it at our Knightsbridge showroom; our personal shoppers can reserve it today and arrange worldwide insured delivery wherever you may be.
