Casaque is Hermès' tri-colour speciality construction — a Kelly built as three panels of different-coloured Epsom, saddle-stitched so the colour breaks fall precisely along the flap seam and gusset line. Named after French horse-racing jockey silks, the Casaque commission has been one of Hermès' most sought-after seasonal Kellys for the past decade, and it never appears twice in exactly the same colour combination. On this bag the tri-colour arrangement showcases three carefully chosen tones that echo the classic silks palette — jewel-bright, structural, and precisely balanced across front, flap and gusset. Epsom holds each colour block distinct: the fine embossed grain resists bleeding between panels, and the palladium sangles and turn-lock unite the three fields through cool white metal. Stamped Z (dated to a very recent Hermès production year) and store fresh. The felt sleeves are still wrapping the palladium sangles, the corners are perfectly held, the strap thread is unpulled, and the clochette hangs unmarked. Under a raking loupe the saddle stitching runs at the exact angle Hermès requires for a Sellier finish — a level of precision that identifies a Casaque as a senior-craftsman commission rather than a routine production Kelly. At 28 cm this is the size Hermès considers the reference Kelly — laptop-adjacent, wallet-and-diary friendly, worn easily by hand or on the included shoulder strap. Original box, dust bag, felt sleeves, clochette, cadenas, keys and shoulder strap included. Inspected at JULL London and available for private viewing by appointment at our Knightsbridge showroom. New, unworn and pre-owned Hermès, priced without buyer fees. A rare Casaque worth seeing in person.
