Gris Pantin is one of the quiet aristocrats of the Hermès grey family — a soft dove tone named for the maison's ateliers at Pantin, cooler than Etoupe, gentler than Gris Meyer. On the Mini Kelly it becomes something close to jewellery: twenty centimetres of perfect Sellier architecture in Madame calfskin, a fine-grained leather that holds crisp edges with a supple, almost powdery hand. Palladium hardware mirrors the grey's cool cast for a tonal, thoroughly modern composition. Sourced on consignment from a private collection, G blind stamp, store fresh with original receipt.
