The Mini Kelly Teddy is one of Hermès' most quietly playful releases of the past decade — the second-generation Mini Kelly II reproportioned in tondo shearling with the leather trim and hardware of a classic Sellier. Ours is the elusive Gold colourway, the deep camel-honey that Hermès reserves for its warmest, most flattering references. Teddy is not a straightforward material to work with. Sourced from Alaskan long-haired sheep and clipped to a controlled pile, it demands hand-shaving around the seams so the stitch line reads clean against the fleece. On this bag the corners are perfectly held, the sangles sit flush against the flap, and the palladium turn-lock rests without indentation — the tell of a Mini Kelly finished by a senior craftsman rather than routed through junior hands. At 20 cm, the bag holds a phone, a slim card case, keys and a lipstick. In practice you carry it as an object, not as storage — the Mini Kelly Teddy is a decorative statement, not a functional companion.
