The Haut à Courroies 40 in Gris Meyer Togo with palladium hardware is a heritage travel piece in one of Hermès's most refined contemporary grey tones. Year B stamp, excellent preloved condition. The Haut à Courroies is the original Hermès grand travel bag from which the Birkin was descended in 1984. In the 40cm size, it functions as a genuine overnight or weekend bag, with capacity for tailored clothing, leather goods and small accessories. The tall, equestrian-travel proportions retain the original turn-of-century saddlery character. Gris Meyer is among Hermès's more refined recent greys: a soft, slightly warm-tinged mid-grey that reads quietly between Gris Tourterelle's dove tone and the cooler Gris Mouette. It is the colour reserved for collectors who want a true contemporary grey neutral without veering into either cold mineral or warm taupe territory.
