The Himalayan is not a colour Hermès keeps in stock. It is a dyeing sequence — a slow gradation from smoked pearl-grey along the base to an almost snow-white flap — applied by hand across a single Niloticus crocodile hide, and no two hides accept it identically. On a Kelly 25 the effect reads differently than it does on a Birkin: the trapezoid silhouette narrows toward the top, so the palest end of the gradient gathers at the flap and the sangles, while the deeper grey settles into the gusset where the bag actually catches light. It is the quieter of the two shapes, and for many collectors the harder one to find. This example carries blind stamp K, dated 2026, and is store fresh — unworn, with the protective films still seated on the palladium hardware. Palladium is the only correct pairing here; gold would warm the grey and flatten the gradient the dyeing exists to produce. Turn-lock, sangles, clochette and keys are all present and unmarked, and the crocodile scales run true across the front panel, without the flattening that comes from handling. It is accompanied by a copy of the original receipt and the original CITES documentation. On a Niloticus piece that paperwork is not optional — it travels with the bag for the rest of its life, and JULL checks it against the hide rather than simply filing it.
