Casaque is Hermès at its most confident: a tricolour Kelly built from panels of Rouge Sellier and Blue Indigo, opened by a lining of Rose Texas that shows itself only when the flap is lifted. The name comes from racing silks, and the logic is the same — flat blocks of saturated colour, no gradient, no ornament, the contrast doing all the work. Casaque pieces are made in small numbers and almost never repeat in the same combination, which is why they tend to leave the boutique before they are ever listed.
