Vert Criquet is one of the most spirited greens in the Hermès colour chart — a clear, sunlit shade named for the cricket, sharper than Vert Cypress and warmer than Vert Fizz. On a Kelly 28 in Epsom, it reads as pure colour: the grain is fine, dense and lightly ribbed, a leather that holds pigment with unusual clarity and refuses to slouch. The result is a bag that keeps its architecture exactly, corners crisp, flap flat, the trapeze silhouette as precise in five years as it is today. The 28 is the Kelly most collectors settle on. It carries a day's essentials without becoming luggage, sits comfortably under the arm, and takes the shoulder strap without looking overburdened. Gold hardware is the classical pairing here — warm brass against bright green, with the turn-key, clochette and padlock catching light at the front.
