Blue Zephyr is the quietest blue Hermès currently makes — a pale, slightly greyed sky tone that behaves like a neutral in daylight and reads almost white in a photograph. It sits between Bleu Brume and Bleu Pâle, and it is the shade clients ask for by name only after they already own the black one. This is the gold-hardware version, which is both the rarer pairing and the more interesting one. Palladium is the safe choice against a pale blue. Gold is the considered choice: the warm metal draws a faint green out of the tone and gives the bag a vintage register that the white-metal version simply does not have — closer to a 1970s Kelly than to a current-season release. Epsom holds the colour cleanly. The pressed grain reflects light evenly across the flap and the sangles rather than pooling it, so the shade stays consistent from the front panel to the fold. It is also the leather that keeps a Mini Kelly's corners sharp for decades, which matters more at 20 cm than at any other size in the range. Stamped C and near mint — carried, but only just. The corners are fully held, the stitch line runs even in matching thread, the lacquered edges are unmarked, and the turn-lock seats flush against the flap without play. The shoulder strap shows no stretch at the rings and no darkening at the fold. Supplied with dust bag; box and clochette accompany where noted.
