Rouge H is Hermès' deep, oxblood-adjacent red — the historical red that gives the house its equestrian identity, deeper and browner than Rouge Casaque or Rouge Sellier. On the Picotin 18 in Taurillon Clémence, the softly grained Bull calfskin that softens gracefully with carry, it becomes a warm, considered daily piece rather than a colour statement. The Picotin is Hermès' unlined bucket bag — flat-based, open-topped, closed with a slim leather strap and a palladium or gold hardware buckle. Its simplicity is its precision: no interior compartments, no lining, no structural inserts. In Taurillon Clémence it develops a light patina in its first year of use, softening around the base as the leather settles into the client's carry. The 18 cm version is the small Picotin — enough for a phone, wallet, keys and a compact — worn from the crook of the arm or by the top handles.
