Vienna weekends, or one video call
The usual Romanian route to Hermès is a weekend in Vienna or Prague: flights, a hotel, and a sales associate who, for a newcomer, keeps the Birkin back. Repeat it for a year or two and you may be offered one. From London you can choose this week; the bag is shown to you on video and is in your hands in Bucharest.
From London to Bucharest
For a Romanian client, a Birkin has usually meant a weekend in Vienna, Paris or London and a boutique that may still say no. From us there is no sales associate to persuade. You choose the bag in our London stock, see it on video, and one of our team flies about three hours to Otopeni and brings it to you in Primăverii, Dorobanți, Herăstrău, Băneasa or Pipera, or further, to Cluj-Napoca, Timișoara, Iași, Brașov or Constanța. The table shows every price in lei at today's rate, so you can set it against anything you have been offered on Instagram or through a friend. On that subject: if a seller in Bucharest cannot show you the exact bag, its blind stamp and its paperwork on a live call, walk away. We do all three before you pay anything beyond a deposit, and you may bring in a local authenticator of your own. Winters indoors are dry and summers hot; a Birkin likes neither a radiator nor a car seat in July, so give it a shelf, stuffed, in its dust bag.
A country without a Hermès boutique
