A Birkin 25 in Magnolia Togo with palladium hardware — one of the quieter combinations in the house's current offering, and among the more considered. Year C stamp, unworn condition. Within Hermès, the Birkin needs little introduction as a silhouette, but the 25 occupies a particular position: compact enough to read as an evening bag yet structured enough to carry a working day. It is a size that asks something of the wearer — it edits rather than accommodates — and it attracts those who know precisely what they need on any given day. The form is upright, the proportions deliberate, and the bag sits with authority whether carried by hand or set on a table. Magnolia sits in the pale pink family without behaving like one. It reads closer to a warm off-white in direct light, the pink revealing itself gradually as the angle shifts — a quality that Togo handles well. The leather's natural pebbled texture absorbs colour evenly and gives it a certain softness without any loss of depth, so what might appear neutral at a distance becomes something more considered close up. Palladium hardware finishes the piece in cool silver tones, consistent with the restraint of the colour choice throughout. The Hermès Birkin 25 in Magnolia Togo measures about 25 cm wide, 20 cm high and 13 cm deep. It is made in Togo, a grained calfskin with a soft, slightly slouchy hand that resists scratches. The hardware is palladium-plated, a cool silver tone, on the turn-lock, padlock, keys and feet. The Birkin has two rolled top handles, flap and straps closing on a turn-lock, clochette with padlock and two keys, four protective feet; inside it is lined in matching chèvre goatskin, with one zipped pocket and one open slip pocket.
