Few Hermès leathers carry the quiet authority of Doblis, and fewer still appear in a colour as considered as Tilleul. This Birkin 30 arrives in that precise combination, finished with Permabrass hardware. G stamp, brand new condition. The Birkin 30 sits at the centre of the model's range — large enough to be genuinely functional across a working day, compact enough to hold its shape without looking effortful. It is the size that Hermès artisans spend most of their time with, and the one that wears in the most convincing way over years of use. Those who reach for the 30 tend to know exactly what they want: a bag that is present without being demanding. Tilleul is a linden-blossom yellow, soft and botanical, closer to the inside of a leaf than to anything golden or acid. On Doblis — the sueded, matte side of goatskin — it reads with particular restraint. Where the same colour on box or Epsom might appear sharp, here it absorbs light rather than reflecting it, giving the bag an almost chalky softness that photographs differently from how it sits in the hand. The Permabrass hardware, warm and slightly aged in tone, holds the palette together without introducing contrast.
