The Herbag is Hermès' canvas-and-leather hybrid — a two-panel construction with a canvas body and leather flap, based on the earlier Haut à Courroies silhouette that predates and inspired the Birkin. In its 31 cm scale with a bordeaux leather flap over beige canvas, it becomes a distinctly informal, weekend-informed carry that reads unmistakably Hermès without any of the formality of Kelly or Birkin. Bordeaux against beige is a colour pairing Hermès has offered intermittently across the Herbag's production. The deep wine flap reads especially well against denim, black, and off-white — the informal palette a Herbag was designed for — and softens with age into a slightly warmer register. Palladium hardware — cool white metal — keeps the register tidy against the warm leather flap. Excellent condition, stamped U. The canvas panels are clean, the leather flap holds its structure, and the palladium plaques are unscratched. The interior canvas lining shows only light rotation marking consistent with the Excellent grade. Original dust bag included.
