Structured, self-contained and immediately recognisable, this Mini Kelly in Gui Mauve Epsom with palladium hardware arrives in brand new condition. Within the Kelly family, the 20 cm format occupies a particular position: small enough to read as an evening piece, substantial enough to carry through a day. It holds a telephone, a card holder and the essentials, nothing more, which is precisely the discipline it imposes and the reason it is chosen. The silhouette — the trapezoid, the single top handle, the turn-lock closure — is the same one that has defined the house since the 1930s. At this scale it becomes something quieter and more personal. Gui Mauve sits in the space between a dusty mauve and a muted plum, cool in undertone, never sweet. The name reaches back to the French word for mistletoe, and there is something botanical in it — a colour lifted from shadow rather than flower. On Epsom, which is tightly grained and holds its shape with almost architectural precision, the tone appears consistent across the bag's flat planes, neither shifting nor deepening at the edges. It photographs with restraint and reads with more complexity in person. Palladium hardware gives the closure and fittings a silvery, slightly warmer cast than white gold, complementing the cool mauve without competing with it.
