The Hermès Mini Kelly II in Jaune Bourgeon matte alligator is one of the rarest expressions of the house's smallest sellier icon. Jaune Bourgeon — a soft, luminous bud-yellow drawn from the spring palette — is uncommon in leather and rarer still in alligator, where every scale takes the dye at a slightly different depth and gives the colour a quiet, shifting life across the flap. The matte finish keeps the skin discreet: no gloss, no theatre, only the exact geometry of the grain travelling in even rows from the sangles down to the base. Measuring 20cm across, the Mini Kelly II is built in the sellier method, saddle-stitched with its seams turned outward, a construction that gives the bag its precise architectural edge and holds its shape for decades. Palladium hardware — turnclasp, clochette, padlock and two keys — sits cool against the yellow, sharpening the colour rather than warming it, while the removable shoulder strap lets the piece move from hand-carried to cross-body without ceremony. This example carries blind stamp Z and is presented in unworn condition with its dust bag, box, clochette, keys and a copy of the original receipt. Alligator Mini Kellys in seasonal colours rarely return to the market: boutique allocation is limited, exotic production is small, and Jaune Bourgeon in particular was made in very short numbers before the shade was retired.
