The Hermès Tablier Sellier in Rouge H Hunter/Swift/Toile with palladium hardware is a heritage-architecture saddle bag in one of the maison's most historic reds. Year G stamp, preloved condition. The Tablier Sellier is one of the most direct expressions of Hermès's saddlery heritage in contemporary leather goods: a shoulder bag rendered through the technical vocabulary of the traditional saddle blanket. Construction combines Hunter saddle leather (vegetable-tanned heavy calfskin), Swift (soft milled calfskin), and Toile (the iconic Hermès natural canvas). Rouge H is the maison's original house red — the deep, almost burgundy-toned crimson Hermès adopted in the 1930s as its signature equestrian-leather colour. It carries undertones of brown and aubergine that lend it depth and seriousness rarely found in modern bright reds. The colour pairs particularly well with the multi-material Tablier Sellier construction, the warm red reading against the natural canvas with quiet historical authority.
