Hermès's 24/24 – 21 arrives here in Etoupe across a dual-leather construction of Evercolor and Swift, finished with gold hardware. It is a bag that moves between a formal desk and an evening table without announcement, neither too studied nor too casual for either. G stamp, brand new condition. Introduced as Hermès's answer to a genuinely modern carrying life, the 24/24 was conceived around the idea that the same bag accompanies its owner through an entire day — the name a reference to hours, not a model number. The 21 is the smallest expression of that idea: a compact, structured piece with a top handle and the option to be worn on the shoulder or across the body. It is the size that working women reach for when they want Hermès on a day that demands precision rather than volume. Etoupe is a warm grey that sits closer to taupe than to ash — it reads as a neutral in cool northern light and gains a faint brownish depth in warmer settings. The name is simply the French word for the colour. On Evercolor, which is a treated calfskin with a fine, consistent grain, the tone is steady and even; on Swift, which appears on the flap, the same colour takes on a slightly more luminous, supple quality. The combination gives the bag a quiet textural interest without any contrast of hue. The gold hardware draws out the warmth already present in the leather.
