A Birkin 25 in shiny Porosus crocodile, Bordeaux, with gold hardware. This is one of the most considered configurations in the exotic canon — a size that travels, a leather that commands, a colour that does neither too much nor too little. G stamp, brand new condition. Within the Birkin family, the 25 occupies a particular position: compact enough to move through an evening without effort, structured enough to hold its silhouette through a working day. In exotic leathers the format becomes something closer to sculpture — proportions tightened, the architecture more apparent. Those who reach for it tend to want a bag that is genuinely complete at this scale, not a smaller version of something larger. Bordeaux is a deep, wine-inflected red — more burgundy than crimson, weighted toward the cooler end of the spectrum. On shiny Porosus crocodile, the colour does something the matte variants cannot: the lacquered surface draws light across each scale individually, so the bag shifts between near-black in shadow and a rich, saturated red in full light.
