The Dépêches — named after the French word for diplomatic despatches — is a slim flat-format briefcase or document bag in the contemporary Hermès catalogue, descending from the maison's late-nineteenth-century luggage and travel-document heritage. The format remains one of the most quietly professional pieces in production. Etoupe is the maison's most universally flattering neutral — a warm grey-taupe that bridges professional and casual contexts.
