Where can you buy Hermès in London? There are two routes. The four Hermès stores sell everything Hermès makes, but the bags most people come for, the Birkin, the Kelly and the Constance, are offered to clients the store already knows rather than sold on request. A Hermès specialist sells the bag you choose, today, at a secondary-market price. JULL is a Hermès specialist in Chelsea Harbour: more than 250 pieces in stock, most of them new and unworn, every one priced on its page and shown by appointment seven days a week. The table above is counted from our floor today.
The four Hermès stores in London
| Store | Where | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| New Bond Street | Mayfair, the London flagship | The full range; quota bags offered to known clients |
| Sloane Street | Knightsbridge | The full range; quota bags offered to known clients |
| Harrods | Knightsbridge, inside the store | A smaller range; quota bags offered to known clients |
| Selfridges | Oxford Street, inside the store | A smaller range; quota bags offered to known clients |
Scarves, jewellery, small leather goods, shoes and ready-to-wear can usually be bought at any of them on the day. The Birkin, Kelly, Constance, Mini Kelly and the other quota bags almost never sit on a shelf, and there is no waiting list to join. A sales associate offers one to a client with a purchase history at that store, usually in a size and colour the client did not pick. How allocation actually works and which bags are on quota explain the rest.
If you already have that relationship, the boutique price is the lowest you will pay, and you should use it.
Buying from a Hermès specialist
A specialist already holds the bag. You choose the model, size, leather, colour and hardware, see the exact piece, and pay a price written on the page. The premium over boutique retail is the price of choosing, and of carrying the bag this week rather than in a year or two.
At JULL that means:
- Stock you can see. More than 250 pieces across Birkin, Kelly, Mini Kelly, Constance, Lindy, Picotin, Evelyne and Bolide, most of them new and unworn. Start with every bag in stock, or go straight to the Birkin, Kelly, Mini Kelly or Constance. - A showroom. Harbour Yard, Chelsea Harbour, London SW10 0XD, open seven days a week, 10:00 to 18:00, by appointment, or a live video call of the exact bag. How a viewing works. - Inspection by hand. Every piece is inspected by hand in our London workroom before it is listed. Pieces bought new from Hermès boutiques come with the boutique receipt. Pieces consigned to us by private clients are also checked with Entrupy, and the certificate is available on request. The blind stamp and condition grade are on every listing. - Paying and reserving. Pay in full by bank transfer to BY JULL LTD, and we hold the piece for 12 hours while the transfer arrives. A 25% deposit by card or Apple Pay holds it for five days. How to pay for a Hermès bag. - Delivery. Free, insured and tracked anywhere in the UK, usually within one to two working days, or collect from the showroom. Delivery in detail.
What makes JULL different
Many London resellers sell several brands, much of it worn. JULL sells Hermès almost exclusively, and leads with new and unworn pieces: the condition scale on every page runs Store Fresh, Unworn, Pristine, Excellent, Good, and a bag that has been carried says so. Our founder, Guilherme Ribeiro, spent three years working for Hermès before founding JULL, and every piece is checked against that standard. Prices are published on every bag and counted daily into the UK Hermès Price Index, so you can compare before you ask anyone for a quote. Our reviews are held on Google rather than on our own site.
Auction houses and marketplaces
London auction rooms sell Hermès regularly. The hammer price looks low until the buyer's premium and VAT are added, and you usually buy from a catalogue description without handling the bag. Online marketplaces are faster but you are buying from a stranger's photographs. Both can work; both put the checking on you. Auction or specialist sets out the arithmetic.
How to check any seller before you pay
Four questions work anywhere in London. Which registered company am I paying? Are these photographs of the exact bag? Can I see it before the balance is paid? Who inspected it, and what did they check? JULL is BY JULL LTD, Companies House number 17144844, and every answer is on is JULL legit?. The eight checks for choosing a reseller go further.
