Presented in Rose Scheherazade, one of the most coveted pinks in the Hermès exotic palette, this Birkin 30 is crafted from shiny Porosus crocodile, the rarest and most prized of the house's crocodilian skins. Sourced from the saltwater Crocodylus porosus, the hide is distinguished by its small, symmetrical scales and the fine, even graduation across the front panel, a hallmark of a properly matched Birkin. The shiny finish, achieved by hand-polishing every scale with agate stone, gives the leather a deep, liquid lustre that catches and returns the light, amplifying the intensity of the fuchsia tone across each panel of the bag. Palladium hardware completes the composition: the turn-lock clasp, sangles, padlock and keys in their clochette all rendered in a cool white metal that tempers the warmth of the colour. The Birkin 30 remains the most balanced size in the line, generous enough for daily essentials, a tablet and a slim wallet, yet compact enough to be carried in the hand without effort. The interior is lined in supple chèvre with a zipped pocket and an open pocket, the construction entirely hand-stitched in saddle stitch by a single artisan. Blind stamp Square Q. Condition is store fresh, retaining its original shape, corners and hardware protection. Supplied with dust bag, clochette, padlock, keys and rain cover, and accompanied by CITES documentation as required for exotic skins. Exotic Birkins in this configuration rarely reach the secondary market, and shiny Porosus in a saturated pink is a combination Hermès produces in very small numbers each season. Priced at £30,500.
