A Bolide 45 Shark in Bleu Nuit Togo with palladium hardware — a travel bag built for sustained use rather than the occasional occasion. X stamp, preloved condition. The Bolide is the oldest structured bag in the Hermès canon, pre-dating the Birkin by half a century, and at 45 it operates squarely as a serious piece of luggage: a cabin companion or overnight bag with the kind of considered structure that keeps its shape under weight. The Shark designation refers to the top-zip closure configuration — a clean, functional variation on the classic silhouette that suits the bag's scale and purpose. It attracts a particular owner: one who travels often, travels well, and wants their luggage to behave. Bleu Nuit sits at the deeper end of the Hermès navy register — not the bright mid-tone of Marine nor the near-black of Bleu Indigo, but something cooler and more considered, the colour of a clear sky an hour after sunset. On Togo, which carries a soft, natural pebble grain, it reads as rich and matte, absorbing light rather than reflecting it. The result is a bag that announces itself quietly and improves in low-lit rooms.
