A Mini Evelyne in Ardoise Taurillon Clémence with gold hardware — a compact, cross-body-ready piece built for daily movement. W stamp, brand new. The Evelyne occupies a particular place at Hermès: it is the house's answer to the question of how a working bag should behave. The perforated H at the front panel is the silhouette's signature, the removable strap its reason for existing. In the mini proportion, it reads as precise rather than casual — a bag for someone who travels light and chooses deliberately, worn against the body rather than carried at the arm. Ardoise is a blue-grey that takes its name from slate — the stone rather than the colour chart — and in Taurillon Clémence it deepens perceptibly. Clémence is a supple, pebbled calfskin with a gentle grain that absorbs light rather than reflecting it, so the tone reads as complex without drawing attention to itself. In lower light it can read almost as a warm charcoal; in daylight the blue note surfaces. It is, by any measure, one of the more considered neutrals in the current Hermès palette. Gold hardware carries the warmth that Ardoise's cool ground quietly needs.
