At twenty-five centimetres, this is the smallest of the Birkin proportions, and for many it is the most considered choice. It carries a phone, a card case, keys and little else, which means every outing with it is deliberate. The silhouette is the same as it has always been — the structured trapezoid, the turned-down flap, the double-strap closure — but in this size it reads as something worn rather than carried, closer to a statement of personal taste than of practical necessity.
