Shiny Nilo in Vert Cypress — one of the more arresting combinations Hermès has produced in recent years — here in the Birkin 25 with palladium hardware. A B stamp places production in 2023, and the piece presents in preloved condition. At 25 centimetres, the Birkin occupies a particular position within the house's range: compact enough to carry through an evening, structured enough to hold its shape through a working day. It is the size that rewards a considered edit rather than abundance, and it is the one collectors tend to reach for when the occasion requires precision over volume. Vert Cypress is a deep, resinous green — referencing the cypress tree's characteristic darkness rather than the brighter registers of the colour family. On shiny Nilo crocodile, the tone shifts perceptibly with the light: almost black in low light, revealing its green depth in direct sun. The high gloss of the leather amplifies every scale, giving the surface a sculptural quality that matte leathers cannot replicate. Palladium hardware provides a cool, silvered finish that reads cleanly against the depth of the skin without competing for attention.
